•  description   :   Valen's face can be described as bland at best and actively scary at worst; often teased for looking similar to a sayako-like character as a child.His hair used long & dark, though he very recently ( after the death of josephine ) cut his hair into a wolf cut. There's a dullness to his skin, looking as though he's never spent a day outside if not for his numerous freckles. He has prominent eye bags & dark circles.

MENTAL.•  personality   :   Blunt to a fault & pretty abrasive, Valen is known for his honesty & lack of tact. He has a habit of voicing his feelings directly, even though they tend to not show on his face.His speech patterns & mannerism are distinctly masculine, almost bro-ish, but there is a softness to him that he shows around his loved ones. Often times being indirect or implying things will go over his head, leaving him frustrated.Valen doesn't care much for his own safety, aware of his immortality & blasé about getting injured since he can 'reset' his body by pulling a trigger. This is in complete opposition to how he feels about the safety of other people, becoming a hunter in the first place due to wanting to protect them.During the six months after the death && supposed death of Caleb, Valen's addiction spiralled to uncontrollable levels, though he has since recovered as much as one can while still being an addict. Valen has very few memories of this time.Romantic love is a blindspot for him, though he openly tells his friends that he loves them & is horrified whenever they can't tell that he does.

❝ Valen is apart of a long cycle of reincarnated beings, though his current self seems to be trapped within his own body & unable to truly die. He is fully aware of his immortality, & has a vague idea of his past lives existing, though none of the specifics.He wan't exactly a peppy child, often described as a sullen tomboy. Valen didn't realise that he was a boy until well into his teens once people started treating him differently throughout puberty, though he often talked about 'wanting to go home' when he was a child.He has kept these feelings to himself, though it's possible those close to him have noticed. These are not feelings he ever articulated fully in his past lives, but there were probably hints in those as well. He's began HRT in secret, though the only true noticeable change is his deeper voice. He's told no one, not even those involved in his on paper medical care.

He finds the idea of soulmates & lovers from a past life frustrating at best & distressing at worst, though that can be apply to all parts of his past-life hypotheticals. Valen is especially frustrated at how sometimes it's as though his friends see someone else when looking at him, though he can't tell if they're thinking of the him of the past or if it's just good ol' projection.Valen isn't comfortable being in relationships with men while closeted, though has had casual intimacy with a few women. He's still very much attracted to people regardless of gender, but dislikes male attention that perceives him as a woman. This may lead to some clashes with those attracted to him, especially those that knew him in a past life.Immortality is treated lightly, as is his safety. Valen can & has used it as a crutch to heal in battle, though never among other people. He can't remember the pain or fear of dying, so why shouldn't he take advantage of a reset button?

He keeps his more self sabotaging & toxic behaviours to himself, especially in regards to his addictions. Uppers for when he needs the work done & downers for when his body hates him the most.Though he often thinks he is the one normal person in his life, Valen himself is a unique kind of weird.All of his previous incarnations had a similar look to them, with Valen being an outlier. Every 'Valentina' was much taller (standing at 6'5 at least), && known for their beauty. Most of the differences can be put down to the amount of trauma the experiments put his body through
